CNC turning produces round and rotational parts such as shafts, bushings, sleeves, pins, spacers, fittings, connectors, and threaded components. The process is selected when diameters and cylindrical features are central to the part design.
Common Turned Features
- Outer diameters, stepped diameters, and shoulders
- Bores, cross holes, and recesses
- Internal and external threads
- Grooves, tapers, chamfers, and radii
Size and Precision
JeaSnn supports CNC turned parts up to Ø46 mm in diameter and 200 mm in length. Precision turning can achieve tolerances down to ±0.01 mm for suitable parts and critical dimensions, with achievable results depending on material, geometry, and the feature being controlled.
What to Include on the Drawing
Identify critical diameters, bores, threads, shoulders, tolerances, surface finish, and inspection requirements. Material grade and quantity should also be included so the machining approach and quotation can be reviewed accurately.
