Quality control in CNC machining is more than a final dimensional check. Material, setup, in-process dimensions, finishing, and final part condition all affect whether the component meets the drawing.
Incoming Material
Material grade and condition should be confirmed before production. When material certificates or testing are required, those requirements should be stated in the project information.
In-Process Inspection
Critical features can be checked during machining before a nonconformance carries through the remaining operations. The inspection points depend on the part geometry, tolerances, and manufacturing sequence.
Final Verification
JeaSnn's quality team uses CMMs, 2.5D vision systems, hardness testers, and other measuring tools to inspect critical dimensions against customer drawings. Finished-part checks also consider surface condition and any specified finishing requirements.
Prepare a Clear Drawing
Clearly identify critical dimensions, mating surfaces, threads, fits, tolerances, surface finish, and inspection requirements. This helps both manufacturing and inspection focus on the features that affect fit and function.
