Swiss machining is intended for small-diameter, slender, and feature-dense components. It is commonly considered when a conventional turning setup may have difficulty with part deflection, tool access, or maintaining dimensional consistency.

Typical Parts

Typical examples include precision pins, shafts, threaded components, connector parts, bushings, and other small rotational components with stepped diameters or multiple features.

JeaSnn Swiss Machining Capability

JeaSnn supports parts up to Ø20 mm in diameter and 200 mm in length. Under suitable machining conditions, tolerances down to ±0.005 mm can be evaluated. Threads, grooves, bores, cross holes, and stepped features can be included according to the drawing.

When Swiss Machining Fits

The final method should be based on part size, length-to-diameter ratio, feature detail, material, tolerance requirements, and order quantity. Sending a complete drawing or CAD file is the most reliable way to confirm whether Swiss machining is appropriate.
